In this series of messages, the process by which God restored the earth and further created is unveiled. This process involved the coming of the Spirit, the coming of the Word of God, and the coming of light. By these three comings, the light was separated from the darkness, the waters under the expanse from those above, and the dry land from the sea. The plant life was generated, light bearers appeared, and some rule was established. Finally, the living creatures in the water, the air, and the earth were generated.
In message five, brother Witness Lee gives a parenthetical insertion regarding the light bearers which appeared on the fourth day – the sun, the moon, and the stars. These light bearers are for rule and discernment, for signs, seasons, days, and years. They are a shadow of Christ and will be strengthened during the millennial kingdom. Ultimately in the new heaven and new earth there will be no more night.

I really thank God that He is really working everywhere.Through these 3-5 messages of Life Study of genesis posted through FACEBOOK, eventhough I am here in Saudi Arabia but the water of Life is flowing and even I met last week the church in Al Khobar, K.S.A.Christ is Victor. Amen!
If we know the Bible a little bit, we can see it is a book of life and not a mere historical record. The Lord Jesus Himself, reveals this principle when He declared the Scriptures testify concerning Him (Jn. 5:39-40). The apostle Paul approached the scriptures in the same way. He relates His experience in 2 Corinthians to the record in Genesis 1. He reported, “Because the God who said, Out of darkness light shall shine, is the One who shined in our hearts…” Paul wasn’t knocked down by a mere objective flash of light. The God of glory spoke a word, and Light broke through his heart of stone to become a wonderful treasure within!
Although Genesis chapter 1 is considered a record of the old creation, God’s restoration and further creation is a picture of the new creation. Genesis 1:2 reveals that darkness was on the surface of the deep. Before we received the Lord, we were like the earth that was covered in darkness. But the Spirit came to brood! The word came! And the Light came! Hallelujah! When the Spirit broods, the Word comes, and the Light comes, life is generated!
